Long Tubes
Is there any long tubes that don't make a light on the dash go on? Do the shorty headers also make your light go on? Do all shorty headers bolt onto factory cats?

I have a complete ARH setup with LT's and Cat's. I have put 1000 miles on it and the light has come on and gone of a couple of times, but is still off

according to the internet, if you even look at the stock manifolds, let alone touch or heaven forbid replace them with something else, the CEL will come on, your car will flip upside down, and will explode.
So sayith the intranets.

LT's will always make the light come on. You are moving the cats away from the heat source (engine), and normally replacing them with high flow cats. It's not a matter of if, but when.

I thought with the plug extenders the CEL wouldn't come on.

Well, I would like to 'buck the trend' as well. As I mentioned in my post, I have gone over 1000 miles thus far with the light coming on 2-3 times, but going back off again within 40-60 miles. It has been off for quite a while now. One thing to mention is that I put a set of brand new O2 sensors in the new exhaust (rather than remove the stock ones and put them into the new exhaust). I have no idea if maybe the new sensors 'learned' differently, but just thought I would throw it out there since it is something that might be slightly different on my car. As I mentioned, I have a complete ARH setup and NO tune

I have Doug Thorley LT's with no cats, been on the car for 2 or 3 months now, NO CEL codes or anything. The car hasnt been tuned yet, so i've been waiting for the light but nothing as of the other day when i drove it.

So some say its impossible others say its not. Sounds like a crap shoot. What parts of your warranty can dealers void for headers? Obviously the emissions.

Dont't understand why you would add LT's and not tune the car to optimize this? |
