How to loosen up Lug nuts Easily

I had my new wheels put on by my local tire shop and love them but its come time for me to put new pads and rotors on. The shop must have torqued them down a little to much cause my socket wrench can't seem to get them off. Is there some kind of adapter i can get for my wall plugged drill to get these bad boys off?

Check if they used a torque wrench or torque gun. Just keep trying with the socket wrench or get one with more leverage

Get a piece off pipe big enough that would fit the wrench into that pipe
Give it a good push , and you should be good to go .

Use the pipe as mentioned above to get more leverage if not you could always try pushing on the wrench with your legs instead.

They should've used a torque stick. Use a breaker bar and a piece of pipe

Be sure to torque them to 140 lb ft when you reinstall them.
Check them again after driving some.
Not all Camaros are 140Ft/lbs.

If you have a floor jack, the handle removed from the base can sometimes use as a tool for leverage when placed over the end of a socket wrench handle.

If you plan to put them back on, definitely use a torque wrench to the exact setting explained in the owner's manual.

Im Trying all of these. I even went to home depot and got an attachment for my corded drill but that wouldn't even budge them. I don't want to slip and scratch my wheels. This would be a lot easier if they weren't semi con-caved. Ive got the Style 41 wheels with the gorilla locking lugs. Trying not to strip them and don't want to slip off. I might just have to go back there and tell them to loosen them up a bit for me.

What tool are you using? I've got a lug wrench with a built in long handle that gives you some great leverage. What part of SoCal are you in? If you are anywhere near Pasadena you are welcome to use it.

I tried all of the cheater bars and everything else in my tool box with the help of my girl. NO luck. I swear the cheater bar wanted to break before these came off. Ill be driving up there this thursday on my day off to get these loosened and give them a piece of my mind..
