Who turns off AC each time?

I've always been in the habit of turning the AC off then the car. Anyone else do this? Just wondering what you guys think?

I cannot imagine anyone NOT doing that.

I remember years ago, when I was a teen, I had to borrow my sister's car. I turned the key and the radio came on full blast and the air conditioner was fully blowing.

Insane.

In FL I rarely shut if off. I auto start my car so when I leave work it's nice and cool when I get in.

I've only used my AC about twice in the 2 years I've owned it. It stays off.

Get in, start up, then open windows and sunroof everytime.

I totally do it.

Especially when I park it for the night.

I don't keep mine in the garage, and I live in a pretty humid area...maybe it's psychological, but I feel like turning off the ac completely closes the vents and keeps the humidity out of my car. There has been more than one morning that I forgot to do that and had a nice 'film' of moisture or something on the inside of my windshield.

But I think it's fine either way, honestly. I'm no mechanic, but I highly doubt it is going to damage your car, or add additional wear regardless of whether you turn it off or not..

Nope, don't touch mine at all when I cut it off.

I also have the radio set so it set the volume automatically at startup to 14 so I don't need to touch that either.

Yup, everything gets turned off before the car gets shut off before it's parked for the night. If I'm just running in to the post office and will be back out in 5 minutes, no, because the car is still at operating temperature and I'm going to want the A/C on when I hop back in. But if the next start is going to be a cold start, I make to shut all that stuff down.

It was a habit I got into when working at a dealership. Hop in someone else's car to start it up, only to be blasted by the radio and air blowing in my face (and not always good smelling air, some people's cars are FUNKY). First thing I always did was turn the radio and fan controls off, and drop the driver's window (except if it was raining..).

Unless I am at work or stopping where I want to remote start the car and have the AC blowing, no I turn it off.

Usually am in a habit of turning everything off before the car.
