Special coverage program 18029
Just wondering if others have had any problems due to an inoperative purge solenoid that could lead to excessive fuel vapours entering the combustion chamber from the fuel tank. A quick search turned up nothing.

Are you complaining because GM is extending the warranty of this part for your car ?
I'd be happy as hell if I got that letter and then had this problem later on. They probably found the problem during a QA audit then researched the lot numbers of the part affected with the issue and associated them to specific Vins.

I'm surprised they haven't done it across all of their vehicles. I have changed so many purge solenoids over the years.
