1LE pushing 60K? No way. Not sure how you come to that conclusion.

Z/28 or ZL1 on the other hand...easily.

A genuine 1LE package will likely include wheels/tires, brakes, suspension tweaks over the base SS suspension (or perhaps tweaked MRC suspension) and NPP exhaust. It may also include different gearing, and the new performance intake, and the front spoiler. Nothing else is needed.

The 5th gen 1LE package which included just about all of the above went for $3,500. I don't see why they couldn't offer all of the same on the 6th gen for roughly $3,500 to 4,500. (if MRC included, may push that higher). So that puts a 1SS/1LE at around $41,000...more or less. Puts a 2SS/1LE at $46,000 more or less.

We aren't getting close to 60K.

Agree with you too. No way close to 60k for a 1LE. Now if you mark every possible option you prob see mid 50's. Now a Z28 or ZL1 will be 62 to 65k is my guess.

I could see high $50's for a loaded 2SS/1LE.
A totally loaded 2ss is $54,000. Beefier suspension upgrades and possibly Recaro's? The 6 piston brake upgrade is $3500!!!!Wow! break open the piggy bank!!!
I could totally see a 2SS/1LE without any more extras being $52-$54 range. Loaded close to $60K
Now a 1SS/1LE maybe around $45K??( Who needs all that extra crap anyways), its a 1LE for god sakes!
IM sold!!!!!

The 5th Gen 1LE didn't have upgraded brakes just red calipers and I'd like to see the same with the 6th. Leave the 6-piston upgrade as an option. The transmission in the 6th Gen has the exact same gearing as the 5th Gen 1LE. It'd be interesting to see if they went with a 3.91 gear out back. With the lighter weight of the 6th, 3.73 is pretty aggressive and 3.91 isn't near the % of upgrade over that than it was over the 3.45 of the 5th.

I could see the 6th 1LE being a fairly simple package of wheels/tires, suspension tweaks, a splitter and hopefully that ducktail spoiler from SEMA with the 6-pistons optional.

I guess time will tell and we can look back and see. I think a performance model is in the works for 2017 you say No.
FYI ford had a 2015 gt350 along with the anniversay model.

A 2SS manual nicely packaged cost $46.5K. That's without upgraded brakes ($3K). I'd guess the 1LE would be $6k option. That much only because I bet the 1LE will Require the upgraded brakes. Nice trick. Bringing the grand total close to $53K if you Wanna ball. Does the 1LE add lightness typically??

True, but in the anniversary model came out straight away when the car was launched (or soon after). The GT50s "snuck in" for 2015 and were severely limited quantities.

The brakes won't cost MSRP if they are added to the package. The 1LE was $3,500 for the 5th gen and it came with wheels, tires, different trans, different rear gears, upgraded shocks and suspension components, fuel pump, hood wrap, splitter and painted spoiler. Those at MSRP would be way more than $3,500.

Exactly. This car is already badass. A 1LE version will be BADASS all caps.

Simple competitive market economics .... The Shelby 350 has it as an option... Why would GM give up a competitive advantage?

MRC is already a SS option... It's not hard to have dedicated track shocks as standard on the 1LE package or have modified 1LE tuning of MRC as a seperate stand alone option apart from the 1LE package....

For those of you blessed with non stop warm weather a smooth, non frost heaved roads.... There are a lot of camaro enthusiasts that would love a 1LE and its hardcore handling for track runs and smooth roads...yet we have to contend with hellacious stretches of road on our commute... And can only afford one daily driver...

Detroit roads are a perfect example... Many roads in Canada are affected by huge variances in temperature as well...

Do I ask too much to have the OPTION of checking off the MRC box while als checking off the 1LE box?

Looks like 6 piston front brakes in those still shots. They don't need much more, wider stickier rubber, forged wheels, maybe a gear swap, stiffer suspension and a couple of body tweaks. $2700 bucks to make a 1SS 40k even. GT350 track pack slayer.

At first I thought that video was the ZL1. But than I realized the cosmetic differences.

The front calipers do not appear to be as close in size to the GT350 but I hope I am wrong. I hope braking is a priority to GM.

I also hope they decide to retain the matte hood to distinguish the 1le pkg.
