Interesting, which Jet Hot coating? My Kooks 2" with 2400F Jet Hot coating hasn't melted my steering shaft cover.

I ordered a set of Dynatech 2" hoping they will fit great.

I have the 2" stainless Dynatech headers and the fit is great. I'd still recommend ceramic coating. Definitely heat wrap the passenger side wiring harness as you should with any header IMO.

Unfortunately I just got an email from Summit Racing saying that they are no longer available from the manufacturer

I believe Jannetty Racing was a fan of their headers too, he might have them in stock.

Standard 1300 or whatever silver ceramic. CSP said the extreme jet hot coating is more durable but insulates heat less than the lower end standard coating. My buddy asked when he bought the headers about upgrading and that was the reply from their sales folks (not Andrew). Seemed.. odd, but he went with the regular coating because of that feedback.

Frankly I dont know how a thicker coating would insulate less for heat.

It resolved itself with a little bump from the headers. No more issue.
