Please OP, for the love of art, mold the fenders on. If you want the car to be like every other lazy vendor's shop car, you're on the right path. If you wanna be in a league of your own, put in the extra work, mold them to the body.

I don't know, but I saw it at the drag strip and it did the quarter in a respectable 86.9 seconds.

BTW, I'm not saying the OP's wide body is bad, but it does remind me of the Mad Max cars. Not a bad thing. It gives me that 80s feeling. Now I'm hearing Tina Turner's 'We Don't Need Another Hero'.
