Well it's hard to say, but I see primarily dark red... leaning slightly towards purple. Hell, I don't know. It's the beauty of being color blind - most all colors look okay to me.

A few weeks ago Pantone announced its "Color of the Year" as Radiant Orchid.

That about sums up this color. Looks like the color the NFL uses in October for Breast cancer month. Hot pink.

GM just trying to use the trend to sell a few Camaros. I'll put in in the same category of colors that are cool to look at but I wouldn't want to own.

not for me. yuk. i like traditional colors, i dont think they ever go out of style and people wont joke or say its nasty years down the road. avoid the fads. colors like blue, red, black, yellow silver/gray, i think always will be around and will not affect resale or market value. when you get a funky color like this, i think you limit your market on desire. sure, it may be different, but plan on keeping the care forever, or take a "hit" on trade in down the road, or get it repainted.

This is insulting to those of us who have been begging for a blue (Kinetic Blue Metallic) to be made available. All I/we want is to be able to purchase a medium blue on an SS with the 1LE package. Is that too much to ask for? Instead they use their "limited color choices" to kick out a pink/purple Camaro. And paying $7000 for a toy car version with logos slapped everywhere but no performance was a poor play for the majority of us.

I'm not a fan but I don't understand why so many people care that the Camaro will be offered in a color they don't personally like. I'm not threatened by this color and I'm not less happy w/ my car b/c a new color is offered.

BTW, to the people that suggested that this color was probably due to Mary Barra getting the GM CEO job.... really?

Exactly- My '64 Corvete Coupe was "silver Blue", code 912. A little lighter
than the above. I bet it would sell like crazy on the Camaro.

This color is real close to the color of the Beretta of the 90's. Ford also used this color on some F-150's back then.
