It won't make a significant difference by itself. Consider it a supporting mod. If you want cooling changes, you have to look at the bigger components of the system.

I don't want to see the "it will destroy the engine" comments. Mine seems to open at about 176 and keeps the coolant in the 180 ish range. The SLP units must be different than the one I have in my car.

I'd like to think the folks over at Lingenfelter know what they are doing and a 160 stat comes with their 630HP and 650HP Pulley Kits.....
