Ipf supercharger and tune

Just out of curiosity, since hp tuners can fully tune the lt motors now, (well that's what I was told) can you just get the ipf supercharger and get HP tuners to tune it?

Nope, HP Tuners can't supply enough fuel past 6 psi.

I remember reading a post a long while back where Arno with IPF tuning said it was one value in a table that enabled him to up the fuel for higher rpms. Said he dug around and tested a lot to find that variable.

Whether that was exactly true or not I don't know, but I'm guessing if it is and HPT can't access that table that is not a good thing (obviously) and hopefully they aren't up the creek so to speak.

I'm still wondering if they can tune n/a LLTs yet...haven't heard much on that either.

I know one local owner who had his LLT N/A tuned by a shop with HP Tuners, he gained I think 20 RWHP. Only has a CAI (my cold air induction one I had before the supercharger) and exhaust. He has a manual and I think he was around 260.

Well dang...where are all the HPT dyno graphs? lol. I'd love to see how the power changed under the curve.

Thats not how we saw it...we've always been told that tuning the LLT properly even if N/A was not easy for various reasons (thus, why HPT or EFI never tackled the Bosch ECM.) We've been told that when companies tried to tune the LLT, they typically saw very minimal, or no gains, so they abandoned the project.

It wasn't until Trifecta had their revised "13 HP gained" tune and IPF came along that we started getting n/a tunes that promised any sort of power gains. Hypertech offered tunes as well, but have been mostly overlooked, although now in hindsight always seem to get good reviews for their n/a tune.

So I wouldn't say that anyone can tune it (n/a), like say they can tune an SS....at least not until more recently when HPT finally began the process to tune an LLT.
