But if you take the $3500 (and I think there is a $500 Credit Card promotion) you lose the cheap loan rate I think.

What % amount is that? 9%? Last year on the 2016 models, they had 16% off red tag sale.

Don't GM offer employee discount supposedly too during the year?

just used that last week, FYI at that time it was only applicable if you were purchasing the vehicle outright. Also used auto show $750 on top of that along with GM visa points.(and employee pricing should it apply too you)..and I did hear it was gonna go up too $4000 as well...

Pretty much exactly that... got to read the fine print gents. In a nutshell if you do a cash purchase you get the $4000 in credit but if you use the low interest rates i.e. o% for 60 months than you only get the $500 off. Before jumping on the cash purchase in order to get the full $4000 off, one must calculate the final car payment based on the lowest bank interest rate you can get. Unless you have the full amount in cash, my calculations says you are better off with the GM low interest rate and still get the $500 off plus any other rebate you personally have like military discount, GM ViSA program and/or employee discount.

Just noticed that you can turn the $500 CC credit into a $1000 credit if you have a discontinued brand. My 1986 442 is making me money.

Some discontinued Chevy and GMC models too. I have two of those currently, thanks for pointing it out.
