2020 Optima DriveAutoX Autocross at UMI Motorsports Park
Raced over the weekend in PA. Had a great battle with James Bishir who's real fast in his 6th gen SS 1LE. We swapped top qualifier a few times and were within a few tenths for 15-20 runs. I was laying down some fast runs but coning them away. Finally I cleaned it up and took the top spot late on Sunday with a 33.497 to his 33.499 a margin of .002!!!! That proved to be a clutch run. For the shootout you're placed in a ladder with the higher qualifier getting lane choice. The track is changed to be 1 huge loop with each driver starting at opposite sides so theorectically they should both finish just opposite of one another if they are running the same lap time.
