Service Tire Monitor System
Hey guys, got some new wheels a couple weeks ago and everything was good for a day or two. Then i parked in my garage with the 4 old wheels/tires (which still had the sensors in them) and my system brought up a warning that it needed service. Tried the relearn tool and although I can go into relearn mode it doesn't activate a marker light like it's supposed to and no matter what I do with the tool it won't relearn. Any ideas or do I need to bite the bullet and take it in?

Are you going to the tire pressure section of the display on the dash and holding down the select key on your steering wheel for a few seconds? It puts the car in learn mode. The car has to be running. Then you use the tool based on what the cars indicator is. Usually this is drivers left, drivers right, and on around the car. The car should honk after each one is programmed to the car.

I am and it goes into learn mode with the 2 honks, but no indicators like in all the YouTube vids and no confirmation reset honk on any wheel. I also noticed on every video that their tire pressures are indicated already with no errors. Mine are not indicated and I have a dash light for service tpms system.

I had trouble with a set I purchased on Ebay that were supposedly OEM. I currently have to reset them every 30 mins of driving because they suddenly disconnect. I plan on taking it to the dealer and having them unmount and replace with some OEM ones from the dealer. I sometimes have trouble getting mine to reset. I just have to keep the antenna close to the sensor or sometimes I have to hit it next to the tire to get it to work.
