Which is exactly why I ordered 14 weeks out from my desired December 15th delivery.

Usually takes 6-8 weeks from a dealer who has allocation to have an order accepted and built by GM.

ALLOCATION being the key word.

I don't understand the "allocation" thing?

Why can't ANY dealership order a car for someone who comes in and puts down a deposit?

Let me tell you that would be a HUGE turn off, if I went to order a car, especially one as mass produced as the Camaro and they told me they don't have any slots open to order one?

But then again, I am more of an inventory buyer. (I've never actually ordered a car)
