clicking noise under hood when idle?

i just got my camaro friday and i dont know if its normal or not but there is a constant clicking noise under the hood when idle

just curious, it may be normal

Clicking? or tapping? More than likely you are referring to the valvetrain noise.

i know what your talking about. To me, it sounds like a large drop of water hitting the trunk lid. Been that way since day one, just ignore it.

i thought the exact same thing, i know what you're talking about. But it is normal. Multiple dealers have said the same thing and ive heard several other camaros and they are all alike. dont worry! however, idk what the noise is coming from but its not affecting anything.

You must have a V6. It's normal. The sound is actually the Injector Pulse. That motor does it in the Camaros as well as the CTS.

yeah i too have the noise, also when warming up in the morning from inside i hear a tapping like a bird on the roof or something then clicking and the sound of something tightening after about five minutes of sitting, then it wont do it again till the next morning i drive it.

Its because of Direct Injection. The injectors run at a much higer psi than normal fuel injection.

I have the CTS with the direct inject engine. It clicks or taps, whatever you want to call it. It is normal.

its prolly the same, but you guys are mentioning it on the v6 i have the SS and it makes those noises
