I hope they retain the much improved 2014 style tail lights. For those of you who think this is a honda thing, you might take a look at Camaro's past. The rounded front edge of the hood reminds me of a toilet seat lid. (square it up chevy) The space in the rear appears that tire size will be limited. You'd think that Chevy would learn from their long history that we Chevy guys will milk the snot out the engine and "need" room for sticky tires. The Mustang is going to sell very well if Chevy drops the ball here.

Notice that the Transformers 4 car had the rounded hood, as well. That design was probably locked in long ago. Extremely unlikely that it's going to be changed at this point, so we'll have to get used to it. Sorry. |

BTW If you wanna have some fun, do some google image searching on the ATS Coupe camo. Then look at the actuall images from the production model. When they had the camo photos from the ring (like these are), they managed to hide most of the actual look & body lines with minor padding & fake bumpers & grills.
If you look at the Camaro front bumper, you can see padded strips going completely across the front (hiding any actual body lines/curves). The hood gap indicates a bunch of padding along the fenders & hood hiding the actual body lines. Same thing as far as the roof line (large overhangs at the top of the door glass). If you look at the differences between the camo ATS & actual ATS you can get an idea how they can hide the car under the tape. I wouldn't expect a slightly reworked 5th gen look. GM needs the car to look fresh up to 10 years down the road. Look at the differences between the new Vette & old Vette. They have the advantage of seeing that the new Mustang hasn't really rocked the world with it's appearance. Looks too similar to the last one. They want this one to keep people coming into Chevy dealers like the 5th gen does. The sale numbers aren't better than the competition just because of traditional Camaro fans. They are up because it pulls conquest buyers in (that would normally not go into a Chevy dealer). Those same types of buyers want something new & fresh that looks nothing like what someone in the neighborhood drives. They don't want to spend 25-40k to have a new car that looks like the neighbors 4+ yr old Camaro. If they did they would have bought one of the 5th Gens. |

But I must say, I'm liking Camomaro here a HELL of a lot more than 2015 Rustang. Even with the obscured bodylines and hypno-wrap.
