MY DEALER WANTS 10K MORE THAN MSRP - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey, I went to my local Chevy dealer a week or two ago, and he basically told me not to come back for at least 6 months if I didn't want to pay $10,000 over sticker. Kind of made it sound like I would have to wait until next year, I said how long do you do this, and he said "Until the New Wears Off" He said the preorders were sold 10k over as well. He says, oh it always happens with a new car people like, every time we get a new corvette this happens, like it was out of his control, its just the market.

So is this guy screwing with me or what?

RUNNNNNNNNNNN to another dealer. Most everyone on here is only paying MSRP or less. Then when you order it from another dealer, I would bring the order slip back there and ask to talk to the owner of the dealership! F'in A-Holes!

I have to admit I have never seen a Honda being sold for more tham MSRP. It is GM that let this happen, not State laws.

I was at my dealer today, they have several orders available, "the buyers" have backed out. All are at MSRP. I know there is a 2SS, auto, sunroof and black on black also a 2SS auto Red on black. None have been produced yet. Event codes are still at 1100

check out the threads for MSRP dealers. For 10K you can fly anywhere in the US to pick up a car and have a fun drive home.
