Are you using a standard LS7 block to reach that 427ci or are you using an LSX block and boring it to spec? The reason I ask is that the LS7 sleeves are fairly thin and if you do decide to go with Phase 2, you won't be able to push the block as far as a LSX. Since you're spending the money anyway I'd choose the benefits of the LSX - especially with a KB.

Just food for thought. Good luck with it.

We are boring an ls3 to a 4.070 with a 4.1 stroke. Pretty confident it will handle our hp goals. As Larry mentioned earlier its less bore than a 418 just a longer stroke.

Had some fun today with Ricardo and his car. We played underneath and put the cat deletes in his beast. Man you can hear him coming now for sure and little blue flames spit from the ass on decel..Oh yeah! Vincent came by for the stock exhaust pipes so he will be fabricating his new single rear turbo set up very soon. Oh winter mods are so fun..Love living the camaro life with my camaro brothers...While Ricardo was here we discussed the lighting kit and install for Dirty Harry. He will be ordering in a week so if anyone wants some get it together and call Ricardo.

Hey Larry,

Denise and I really enjoyed meeting you and Ricardo today. Thanks again for the pipes. I'll be sure to keep the updates posted on here once I get back from Maryland. I can't wait to start fabricating this kit!

. I'm here in Vegas on a business trip. Gotta do this convention every 6 months, can't say I enjoy it all that much. Vegas is fun for like 2 days. LOL.

Anyway. I'm available by phone/text/email.

Blown-SS. Glad we got a hold of each other.

What is an LS3 Short Block with 1200 original miles worth?

Trying to decide whether to:

Bore this LS3 to a 427
Keep this block original and buy another block to bore maybe an LSX
Sell this LS3 and buy LSX

Any thoughts or suggestions? Not sure how important it is to have a numbers matching car?
