they did not have enough volunteers. I did not run but spent the whole afternoon working a corner. I know there was no where near the people who ran the morning there helping. I was not a happy camper spending the whole afternoon out in the heat while those that ran in the morning were doing whatever they wanted.

Ryan, aren't you going to come to the Hotel for the meet and greet? You could get your stuff then.

I agree with Rickey. They did not have enough volunteers. My ZL1 was to new so I volunteered twice. The volunteers in the morning was told they would get a few more laps in afternoon for helping. But the morning had timing issues so they let the cars run laps faster since no timing. Most morning people received 7-9 laps each. When my son went to the afternoon session he got to drive 3 laps before they stopped them to let the morning people drive to get times. Totally unfair.

Would suggest one day of autocross with no times so they can get people on the track quicker, and those wanting times to run it on the second day. A lot of the people did not care about times, just wanted to get out and run the car...

This very suggestion is being worked on by a local C5 member, who happens to be very good at setting things like this up. Keep this handy....

Set up a texting system that allows us to sign up for notifications with our cell phones...then one person such as Mike or whoever can send out a mass message to everyone letting them know of events and such going on.

I know I don't want to devote an entire day to the Autocross track when there is so much you want to do. Even half a day is a lot between driving & working. Maybe having shifts like drive an hours & work an hour, in smaller groups of people/cars; then it would not be so bad. You could do as much or as little as you like.

I keep hearing the same thing I suggested in different words..........volunteer coordinator..............I think there were enough people to work, just no one to really greet and direct them. All the Pedders guys and others were busy doing their jobs and no one specifically directing the volunteers. This would probably cut down on the confusion and make everyone else's jobs easier.

Anyone ever consider the idea of having the late night party in a conference room vs. the "parking lot" bar?

I know this will hit a few nerves but there are about 10 reasons this is a better idea.
