The fast list doesn't necessarily reflect it but there's a few dude's out there with 12.0 -12.2 ss 1les/ss's. That's pretty damn close to the autos, better than some worse than others, and with a roll race it would be avoiding the hardest part of racing the manuals. Not surprised, can be a drivers race if the manual driver is competent... I'd say after 4th gear going into 5th the manuals gearing will hamper it a lot if the race goes past 135.

Now that I could watch it from my computer and not my phone, the manual car is using the no lift shift also.
Something else to think about is the mileage on each, the manual car might be fully uncorked power wise and maybe the auto car is sub 5000 miles yet?

Not sure if anybody noticed, but the automatic also seems to have a fancier intake.
On another note, it would be disappointing if GM’s a10 wasn’t as competitive as Fords. |

Using paddles is a 1-2 tenths slower (been proven) and passenger didn't help. They needed to swap passenger and run it back. Also would help if A10 driver knew how to drive a auto. The fastest way to roll with a A8 or A10 that is stock is to bump shifter over in manual mode, hold the correct gear, floor it and slap the shifter back into D.
I would agree that a competent driven Manual car should hold it's own and maybe even slightly pull a STOCK A8 or A10 due to all the torque management in the trans. Once correctly tuned, A8/A10 FTW!
