That is factory... The 2010's had a flaw in the clip and lots of A-pillars were coming off. Anything after 2010 would have the new clip.

So we installed the old factory clip in on Thursday night and removed whatever setup was in there and its not the most flush looking fit,BUT it hasn't fell any either. Fingers crossed.

I didn't read the entire thread, but mines a 2010 and had the same problem. Ordered a new clip from GM and turned out to be redesigned. Instead of a little pointed head, it now has a long oval style that really holds great. I don't think the old style is even available.

Im sure its been suggested, but didnt want to read all 3 pages. I have the same one, however mine fits without issue. A lot of guys will put double sided tape or velcro tape on the inside of the pillar.
