A Tale of two 1LE's
This is a quick thread about getting, losing and regaining one of my favorite cars so far...a 2014 Red Rock Metallic 1LE!!
I LEASED my first 2014 RRM 2SS RS 1LE on Black Friday in 2013. (first set of pics below are at the dealer and one or two when I got it home. I always regretted the lease because I couldn't really change the car all that much but I still de-badged it and tinted it because well, some things just have to get done. I had to turn the car in early in 2015 because of a year long deployment but I never quit looking for the replacement. Fast fwd to present day, I just got back on Dec 8th and started an aggressive search for a RRM 1LE or a ZL1. I found a few here and there but all of them had something wrong; it was an automatic, had serious wheel damage, too high mileage, or something else. None of them were just right. I started to give up hope until 2 weeks ago when I did a search on Car Gurus and guess what I found hiding at Hyundai dealer just outside Nashville, TN?  1st 1LE bought on Nov 28th 2013 2014, RRM, 2SS,RS,M6,NAV,NPP, Sunroof, No Recaros. 2nd 1LE bought on 19 JAN 2017 2014 RRM, 2SS,RS,M6,NPP, Sunroof, RECAROS, and the Hurst Short throw!!!! And get this...only 1826 miles!!! BRAND NEW!!!  The dealer shipped it to San Diego for free in three days. The rest is in the pics below. I'm one happy 1LE owner...Again and this one isn't a lease!! The mod list is long and expensive!!!  First three pics are from NOV 2013. The rest are of the NEW beast and the first few mods. The original owner had a thing for badges.  I had to put at least one badge out back to hide the damage from the pictured SS badge so I put on one of the 1LE badges from Emblem Pros. Thanks for reading. I'm so stoked to be back in a 1LE!! |

Awesome! You are fortunate to find exactly what you were looking for. Can't wait till I can get back into one, I am definitely addicted to the 1le.
