Price Check: Vortech V3 SI kit and Kooks Headers

Hey yo,

I'm thinking of switching to a twin turbo setup, which would obviously render my current supercharger and header setup useless for my car.

I wanted to gauge the value of the setup before I consider the swap:

- Vortech V3 SI satin kit. (Normal retail: ~$7k)

I bought the kit new from RDP Motorsports as a complete kit. I would probably keep the SCT tuner. So, this would be more of a "tuner" kit. I would include the injectors that came with the kit though, as I need to step those up as part of the turbo setup.

The supercharger kit has about ~4k miles on it. I installed it about 4 years ago. The car is mostly a show car/weekend local cruise car, so the mileage is pretty low. I changed the supercharger oil methodically at 1k mileage intervals. Oils was always very clean and probably didn't even need to be changed.

The only issue with the kit is a little bit of surface rust on one of the upper brackets on the untreated metal area.

- Kooks Signature series stepped 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" x 3" headers. (Normal retail: $1,550)

In addition to the headers, I have the 3" x 2.5" connection pipe into the hi-flo cats. (I would likely keep the cats. The connection pipe would be included)

The headers and connection pipe were both Jet Hot 1700 coated. The headers are in very good condition. They probably have about ~7k miles on them, as I did these prior to the supercharger install. I had a set of Kooks which rubbed my steering column prior to this set. Maryland Speed, who I bought the headers from, replaced them and these have worked perfectly and have had zero issues.

Thanks for your feedback. I have never really sold any car parts in the past, but obviously a supercharger and header setup is a bit much to hold on to for no reason.

rough guess would be around $800 for headers shipped little more with cats or offroad pipes, and maybe $4500-$5000 shipped for vortech. These are just guesses ive seen some go for before.
