Paid 31K for the wife's 1SS. Not quite so low for my H50.

How much did you pay for your 1ss?
To state you got 11,000 off of the factory sticker for a new Camaro is ridiculous. I just don’t believe that occurred. Even with a couple thousand in rebates it’s still a major loss for the dealer. There isn’t that much profit in a new car anymore.
Sorry you can’t count your trade in or your down payment as discount on the price. You also can’t count dealer added bullshit options they add to make a inflated price. I’ve attached an image of the dealer add on sticker, just more profit (1895)for the dealer. 2017 Camaro 2SS

How do you guys get all these deals? I recently contacted a dealer for a 2019 2SS. With the current incentives that I am qualified, the otd price was 46,600. I offered 43000 and I was told let not waste each others time
And before 2019 refresh came out I offered couple other dealers 2-3k less than the otd price they gave me and they also didn't lower the price. Am I doing something wrong or am I low balling too much? |

28k for a loaded 1ss that was in the showroom for 6 months.
A lot of people (Like me) bought their cars during the fire sale of 2016 cars in the Summer/Fall of 2016. There were 20% off deals everyhere on all models. I got 20% plus down payment. My car was built 3/16 and bought it in September. |

20% off sticker is an outrageously good deal on a popular car. Does that include factory rebates? Who took the loss, Chevrolet or the dealers?

Got my 2018 m6 1ss for 37k before ttl last August. Came with mrc, npp, black bow ties, and black wheels. Not the greatest deal in the world, but I don't think I got fleeced too hard either lol. Not much to be had for norcal cars.

Given the fact that the massive factory rebates has not happened since, my guess is that Chevy didn't (or couldn't) take that big of a loss on the car. Which is a shame as those were probably the best selling months for the car. I know I couldn't have afforded one without it. The misguided complaining by the automotive press about the visability probably didn't help matters either. Chevy basically missed the price and/or cost target by 20%. And rather than eat the price to meet the Mustang by offering more rebates and boost volume, they decided to boost the profit of the car by deleting the rebates and sell them for a higher average price (ATP). Mustang wins volume ( and its not close), Camaro average sell price is 2-3k higher than the Mustang at last check. My guess is that the difference in ATP's will decrease when the high-price GT500 arrives. |
