Fuel rail and injector install

So I’m in the process of doing a supercharger install. Got the old injectors out. Got the driver side in. Can not get the passenger side to rotate enough to go into place. I’m hitting on what I’m guessing is a water jacket on the front of the engine. What am I missing? There’s got to be some secret or technique I’m missing. Any help?

Hi Backon4,

I just recently replaced my injectors (150k on the originals). On the passenger rail, it was much easier to put back in by first taking off the fuel pressure sensor located on the front of the passenger side rail. I used a deep socket to take it out. Everything was smooth once I figured that out. Also, make sure the plastic collars that snap around the injectors are in place.

Bonus tip, be sure to put a dab of motor oil on the injector gaskets, helps lubricate them and allows for the rails to easily pop on and avoid shearing the rubber seals.
