Wouldn't it have made more sense to soda that bad boy before all that seam welding and Fab work? (My eyes hurt just thinking about all that seam welding, lol)
We just had our second Grand am Civic come through our paint booth at the shop getting ready for Daytona in Jan. (I think they have 2 or 3 more to get ready...) Nice looking build! looking forward to seeing it all come together! |

Typically blast them after to remove any weld splatter. While the cage is tig welded, the seam welds are all mig.

I want to say it was around 1100 lbs no doors, hood, fenders, or deck lid. I don't have the exact weight in front of me right now. I do remember the doors are 50 lbs each with no glass, trim, handles, mirrors....completely bare so those guys are heavy.
