2010 camaro SS vs. 2009 nissan skyline

My cousin just got a new 2009 nissan skyline and I got to admit its a pretty nice car and I was just wondering what you guys think is the better car. my camaro SS or my cousins skyline? personally I think american muscle takes imports every time but just wondering what you guys thought.

Are you referring to the Nissan GTR when you say Skyline?

If so, and that is the only "skyline" I know of from 2009, stock for stock it will beat the SS pretty handily. It also costs 2x+ what the SS does.

yea Im just used to calling it a skyline for some reason but I do mean the 09 nissan GTR

Yes, the 2009 GTR is in a league or class where you have to compare it to other supercars, not a Camaro and not even a ZR1 Corvette.

Why not compare to a ZR1? They seem to be pretty close in performance with the edge given to the ZR1.

No,...you shouldn't compare a stock Camaro to a GT-R, the GTR destroys the Camaro, and it should for 80k. But you can compare a ZR1 to a GTR, but im afraid it's still a no contest; the ZR1 would destroy the GTR. Go watch the MotorTrend drag race between some top of the line supercars, the Nissan finishes last. A ZR1 is lighter than a GTR and has more power, that alone is more than Nissan's AWD system can overcome.

If you want to compare a Camaro to a GT-R, compare a modified 500+ horsepower Camaro to a GTR. The Camaro should win but not with anything less.

Dude, the GTR destroyed all the cars off the line and it would win in the 1/4 mile. That video was a mile long drag, not a 1/4 mile.

Trust me, I love the ZR1, but with AWD and it's quick transmission (launch control) it can't be beat off the line.

I wonder what video you was watching,...the GT-R did leap off the line but the ZR1, Ferrari, and Porsche all past the GT-R nearly at the same time, leaving it far....FAR behind. You also don't know at what point in the race was the quarter mile marked, and you also can't show where the GT-R and ZR1 was both place during that time. Overall, despite any quarter-mile time you may want to debate, the Corvette ZR1 is the faster car.

If you were to run these cars out on an empty stretch of road or highway, I guarantee you the ZR1 would easily leave the GT-R behind.

Anyone in this thread that says the GT-R is Faster than a Corvette ZR-1 needs a reality check BIG TIME. Everytime they have pitted the two cars against each other the ZR-1 has one so its kind of pointless even compairing the two the Nissan has no advantages over it period.

Not sure what Superman or Evil Twin are smoking they must just be Chevy haters that cant accept the ZR-1 is faster than most super cars including one of the weakest super cars in the GT-R heres just one of the many vids that proves it.
