Have you owned or spent a lot of time behind the wheel of one? I'm suspecting the answer is no.

A friend of mine is just under 6' 5", and he's pretty damn comfortable in his '11 Grand Sport.
I'm 6', and I took my '04 Z06 on quite a few road trips to Dallas (5-6 hours), San Antonio, and Houston (both 9-10 hours).

Camaros great, z06 will blow your mind. I made the move. Respect the z if you get it, or you'll find yourself wrapped around a pole.

I'll be jumping from similar horse power (my camaro is putting down 535rwhp) but the vette is much lighter so I know it would be a much faster car. Don't worry, I expect myself babying it for awhile to get use to it.

This chance was really sudden and I wish I had more time to think about it...Would hate to lose out on the deal and weeks or whatever later I end up kicking myself in the butt over it.

I've owned to ZO6's, do not take the traction control off. Once that car snaps loose, your not getting it back. I enjoy the comfort of the Camaro, but the Z is a different animal.

z06 wouldn't be as comfortable as the Camaro as a daily driver.
Had a C6 before and noticed a huge difference in comfort with my Camaro now..

If youre looking for only performance and a weekend car- Z06 hands down, but how could you betray the 5thGen...???

As i said before... the 5thGen is a keeper.

I was really talking getting in and out of the car when I wrote that as thats the only thing I could think of when I was standing next to one.

Well, I had an '04 Commemorative Z06 and loved it! Had to sell it after only a year due to a divorce! That was a 405 HP car and it it flew! I haven't driven the 505 HP C6 Z06 but I can only imagine! There will be a tremendous difference in power..... so be careful!

I'll bet a $100.00 you have never been in a Vette let alone owned one. My 09 Vert is very comfortable and I am 6 foot tall. Unbelievable. Futher, if you dont understand the appeal of a true American sports car, no reason wasting my poor typing skills. Jeeesh.

I guess I'm strange, but other than the prestige of it being a Vette, I think the Camaro is a much sweeter looking vehicle. But, get what you want and enjoy!!

If the car fits your needs it will be hard to turn down a deal on a Corvette. Everyone should own one in their life time. We currently have a 2004 CE Corvette and a 2011 SS, have owning both for a while I listed a few things to think about below.

Only things I would consider before buying is this:

1. The ride of the Z06 is not going to come close to the SS so keep that in mind, Can you can live with a harsh ride? The Corvette we have has a Z51 suspension and it really takes bumps hard. I can about tell you the date in a penny when I run over it.

2. GM is talking a 2013 release date on the C7 Corvette which means that you will be driving a older body style Corvette soon. Can you live with just buying a car and it not being the latest body style soon?
Best of luck and post some pictures if you get it.

I would go for it.
I own an 84 vette along with my 2011 Camaro. I am glad to have both.
I like the older vettes myself but if i had the chance for a Z06 I would take it.

I am 6'4 and have no trouble getting in my vette. It is very comfortable and I do not have any problems. I am also 49 so its got nothing to do with age, height etc in my opinion.
I would take it if I were you.
Or work out a way to have both.
I did, and I am still looking to add a C-3 vette.
