the OE one may be $15 more, but the glass company took a serious hit on profit by using GM branded Pilkington glass..

the installer came back out today to see what I was talking about... he sees it, and is reporting back to the main office... not sure what they're going to do next, they're supposed to call me. The one other thing I notice is that the display on the glass seems to show vibrations a bit more now... The OE glass did come with alignment pins at the top of the windshiled... I kinda wonder if they're resting on the frame, and causing the vibration and keeping the windshield up just a bit

I hope that the glass shop is able to get you all squared away and not have to get too in depth into repairing this issue. Let us know what they come back as to how they will rectify this problem for you. Thank you for your time and I hope you're able to fully enjoy your vehicle again soon.

Yeah, I suspect that the dealer that ordered the glass may have to get involved. The glass shop wonders if there is a way to focus adjust the hud with tech2 or similar means

Not that it matters, but I have had Safelite and OEM for several makes, and they all work the same, and chip the same and crack the same.

i can't tell you how many vehicles i had to fix over my fifteen years because some hack on comission was in a hurry to make his $3.. not to mention rear view mirrors falling off and taking a chunk of glass with it.. and the immoral acts as a TPA for insurance companies, stealing jobs from independent shops.. Safelite is gonna have it's day...
