After reading the last 12 pages I believe that the original 87 octane gas came from the factory and maybe again at the dealer . At this point it really doesn't matter because the patch is to pull the fuses. Maybe GM will get a program update soon so this doesn't happen again in the future.

A note to you guys waiting your cars, do not let the dealer put regular unleaded gas in the car, it need high octane. The ECM aparently reads the low octane.

Mine is still screamin'

Did the fuse pull Friday and noticed a difference right away. Not only in power, but overall drivability of the car. The thing behaves like I always thought it should. I was never sure if my car had the slows, but I'm sure it did now! My dealer put 89 octane in it when it came in and I would have never guessed that something like this would be an issue.

I went outside a couple of hours ago and finally pulled the fuses. I have been reading this thread for the last couple of days and was skeptical at first, but since heard how great the cars are running after the pull I had to try it. I will leave them out until the morning and see how she runs.

Ditto here, it's like a totally different car! THANKS to everyone who contributed to getting this fix out in the open. GM should issue a bulletin to everyone who bought an L99 as I'm sure for every one owner here on Camaro5 there are ten others out there who are still experiencing the "herky-jerkies" (I like that description the best).

Question: After putting the fuses back in, how long should I wait to get rolling? Should I wait a few minutes to let the idling settle or would it be safe to get going a few seconds after turning on the car?

Pulled fuses last week and noticed a huge improvement. The car sat in the garage for 5 days of pouring rain and I was finally able to drive it today. Perfect 65 degree weather. This car still pulls like a beast! This car really is a transformer.

My L99 was in QC hold for about 5 weeks-really not that long compared to others- but still only had 10 miles on it at delivery. I drove my car to the gas station and made sure my salesman put in 93 octane-and it was.

So after reading this thread, I decided to pay a lttle more attention and check out the cars performance. From a dead stop, smashing the gas pedal to the floor-- I lit up the tires (Traction control off for sure) and was hauling ass. I ain't pulling any fuses. But I never thought it was sluggish like Scott & irq's. Really glad they foundt a fix for their cars though. I think it made us all wonder what could be wrong with our own cars after reading about their problem.

I pulled my fuses last week also and although not for sure if my car was slow or not before the pull, the car is alot more responsive and smoother to acceleration. So I do believe that the fuse pull did help.

This was my exact story. Exept I did a lot more testing. I KNEW I had a problem. My dealer admitted to putting 3 gallons of 89 in the tank.

Did you time it at all?

Jerky-jerkies for the LS3 but 'the slows' for the L99.

I drove away right away. I knew the difference on ignition. Then confirmed on the timed runs. While making the ten mile trip to the place I test at I was still just hoping but optimistic. It felt better but wasn't possitive until I timed it.

No, I didn't time it. I should have. But the fact that people are saying that the car seems to drive smoother and accelerate better, I thought that I may as well give it a shot.

Ok, let us know how it runs. Remember, it would be a subtle change as far as acceleration but the fully floored acceleration is where you will see.

okay,i had pulled fuse's and it seemed even peppier and smoother shifting(i have ls3),and after a couple of days,it seemed to revert back to jerking in 1st. and sometimes in 2nd., so i did another fuse pull fri. night and reinstalled fuse's sat. morn. after being out for about 14 hrs.,sat.it was back to smoother shifts, only drove it to church sunday, seemed fine, but this morning coming to work ya would have thought it was in the 30's...jerky in first and second, seemed very cold natured,by the way it was 79 degrees this morning,i have put nothing but 93 octane in since i've had it,it has a little better than 2200 miles on her, wonder if the shell gas i use is old or stagnant or had some water in it.....?
