ECS is probably the best place to call about that.

i went ahead and bought the 89270 just to be on the safe side.. i will buy a 89446 and try it and keep it as a backup as well

i have one for the old 6 rib setup looks new 1800 miles on it .. if u need one for the 10 rib u have to call mike with whipple.. its around 120 bucks i think..
only difference in the 2 is the hole size that holds the tensioner.

Blake, did you get the 89446? does it fit? Is it stronger? I broke my tensioner at track last weekend...was actually able to rig it up and still make runs. But looking for stronger replacement now...

So did the 89446 work as a replace to anyone? Mine is going out.

I made the 89446 work, but replaced the pulley from the stock tensioner.

Does the pulley need to be changed due to size?

The pulley on the new one is not as wide as the old so you have to swap. I also had to put a washer behind mine to shim it so the entire belt was on the pulley. Before like an 1/8" was having off and cutting in to the belt.

I also have the part number for the stock replacement if you want that. Whipple gave me the number and said it can be found on amazon for about $55

That would be awesome SSlim! Nothing wrong with my stock one. I want to have it painted and another pulley would allow me no down time...

Curious, why didn't you go back with the stock replacement? Is the 89466 that much superior?

Thanks!
