Ferrari engine with two cylinders less?

I remember reading a comment on here about how the Camaro's LFX engine design is similar to a Ferrari's v8 with just two less cylinders. Is there any truth to this, what makes it so similar? Also if there is what Ferrari model is it similar to? I've been wondering about this for awhile now.

I'm willing to bet the only similarity an LFX will ever have to a Ferrari V8 is DI. Also, +1 on the lol

The comment probably stems from the fact that the lfx is dual overhead cam, 4 valves per cylinder. Most really high performance engines usually have 4 valves per cylinder. But to compare with a Ferrari motor. LOL yeah right. The engineering that goes into a Ferrari motor is well above the lfx. The price tells it all 1 Ferrari V8 = multiple lfx motors.

Whoever said that probably needs to do a little more research hahaha
