V6 1LT RS loud exhaust???
I want to get a good DEEP rumble out of my v6 camaro, is this possible with the 6 or do you need a V8 for a good sound. I think you guys know what im talking about, i DONT want it to sound like rice or a 350z. Is there anything i can do?

The SLP Loudmouth or MRT v2.0 is your bets bet. I am goin with the MRT, it's a lot less raspy.

That being said, what you can do is get a good high performance V6 sound! Some folks have a hard time reconciling that high performance, exotic sound coming from a Camaro... but some of us have embraced it and LOVE IT!!! Right now I have JBA shorties and MRT Ver 2.0 and to me is the perfect V6 sound... it has great performance sound, but it's not a V8... Everyone has a favorite exhaust... Find a good set of head phones and then go here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33104 Give all the clips a good listen! Hopefully you can find one that will suit your tastes!

I second what screaming said.
But just a tip, if you have a good stereo system (if your computer one is crappy like mine) Get and fm tuner and listen to the exhaust set ups on your stereo, BIG DIFFERENCE. You need to first listen to a stock exhaust, and play with your settings until it sounds just like it would if you were behind your car. I did this with my stereo, played with the bass settings etc and set it up perfectly. I then listened to all the diffcerent aftermarket exhaust and wow!

With a V6 you can only get a tuned or as someone else called it high performance V6 sound out of it. The V8 rumble is something that only a V8 can have. If you try to make it sound like a V8 it'll end up sounding like some 20 y.o. P.O.S. that has a muffler falling off. Too many of the 4th gen V6 guys tried making their cars sound like V8's and ended up failing miserably. I'd imagine that the SLP LM2 for the V6 probably is the best sounding V6 exhaust.

i haved the GMPP borla mufflers. they sound way better than stock, but its no V8 sound (not that i expected a v8 sound). problem with these are they are WAY overpriced.

You can get a really good sound out of the V6 but it will never be a V8 sound. I have the loudmouth II and think the sound is just what I want, a nice low rumble. I have a 69 SS Vert with headers and glass packs, but I could never deal with the drone when on the highway everyday.

I don't care what anyone says, my MRT 1.0 sounds AWESOME!! A v6 will never sound like a v8...... you can only get v8 sound from 8 cylinders...
