Anyone thought of this for car security?

I plan on putting in a 2 way paging alarm system in mine when it finally gets here but I thought about this...

anyone use a infrared game camera mounted in a good location to take photos of any little scumbags who would wanna mess with the car??? that way you can have a photo to show the cops if you don't catch 'em in the act..

Yea already posted about it a while back. I put tape over the LED's.

Cat's seem to be able to see the IR at night.

This makes no sense. The camera won't hurt. Worst thing that can happen is someone will steal it. 2 way paging alarm is a must and does not hurt.

So go ahead and just don't worry about it but to say this camera our a good alarm addition would cause harm is just senseless.

Hidden somewhere but not on the vehicle. You place it and run test. Take out the memory card and it will have either pics or video.

I'm not spending that kind of money on mine but will most probably only drive it to work and back home. I have a garage and there are security camera's all over the top of my building plus I work nights so parking is never going to be a problem. Going shopping will be in my other car or truck. Hoping to go at least a year without a ding on it at least.
