Also there was never a ZL1 1LE spotted near Nürburgring recenlty, I don't get where the magazines got that from. The camod ZL1 1LE was seen multiple times in the USA. And on the Z06 Nürburgring tests there was just an non-camod SS model with Chevy plates on the track too, but not the ZL1 1LE.
I agree it will never happen. Question is why did they release it?

Nothing new to generate attention so they tease this?

Starting from 2019, the SS has new LED headlights and that's what this rendering shows. The ZL1 front end has not changed at all since 2017.

Do you think the concept hood looks like the SS?

Like the gen5, the ZL1 front fascia wasn't updated with the 2019 refresh. The headlights are the old one.

I’m saying it’s a rendering... the z28 didn’t look that different than the SS. That front bumper looks like a zl1... also a rendering.

Do you think they’d fully redesign a z28 front end?

No. My post (repeated below) is what you replied to saying “i believe if it comes to light, I think it will be the last rwfresh of a ZL model...”.

I think this concept led to the current, final, SS fascia.

This is/was the Z/28 concept sketch. The exaggerated side vents are not manufacturable because they dip in too deep, too high compared to the production ready 19+ fascia.

The gen5 ZL1 carried through the 14/15 refresh only getting the new taillights.

Learn from history.

GM has recently released sketches from their design studies that previews formally official production trucks and cars so it's possible we're seeing the Z/28 with the 6.6 V8 that was rumored in the future for an anniversary special.

GM did bring along a Camaro SS and a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing during the recent C8 Z06 test date at the 'Ring.
