Reset the mileage on my new 1LE after a fill-up yesterday. Drove 17 miles home. While following traffic on a state two lane running 55-60mph, I saw over 31mpg for a time. Had to pull a rather large hill to get home. Parked in the garage at 27.1mpg. It's all relative...

I drive around Phoenix all day long and my mileage was 21.2. Last week I had to head down to Sierra Vista (Mexico, basically) and by the time I returned the average MPG was up to 21.8. Seems these cars do a lot better when traveling at 80+ mph. After another week on Phoenix surface streets I'm back down to 21.5. I've reset this thing only three times since I've owned it and it'll always float up or down to around 21 mpg. The specific circumstances surrounding the resetting of the mpg affects whether it counts down or up but if there's a V8 that gets 31mpg, I'd like to buy you car, please.

But 30 mpg in an SS, Gonz?
50-60 using cruise controll and AFM of course

The DIC always overestimates by 1-2 MPG so if you're not doing the math on your own youre fooling yourself a little.

My avg has stayed on 16.9 mpg since my build (16,000 miles ago). Not bad for 650 HP and extremely spirited driving!!

Wow, the Camaro is an economy car. Cool!

Not mine, but I don't care too much. 18+ on a trip with a trailer was just fine.

Wife's car is a Mini. Gets 35+ consistently in town and freeway. Not as quick or fast or heart stoppingly awesome as my Camaro. But ok for a little box. Hi Sweetie!

If you really want to know what your mpg is, punch the miles and gallons pumped between two fill ups into your calculator. Use real math instead of the fuzzy math provided by the car's computer. You can hype it all you want, it's just ball park.
