What will it take to get my lfx to 400 whp before boost

How hard and what will it take (parts) to get my lfx to 400 whp before going boost I really wanna get her to 400 at the wheels before I save up to go tt and hop to make 600 whp with the twin turbos I figured a lot of porting maybe

Not possible without boost. Full bolt-ons, E85 and tune will get you between 305-316 on an auto.

Derek1387 - 316rwhp/247ft*lbs tq, auto with the following mods; CAI inc CAI w/scoop, jacFab ported intake manifold & manifold spacer, VMAX ported TB, xpipe, SOLO HFC, E85 overkill kit, overkill tuned.

Check out the sticky; LFX Dyno Thread and look at the google spreadsheet. You could potentially use meth to get up around 330rwhp; however, no reason to use meth at those power levels. 330rwhp with 20% drivetrain loss would be approximately 410hp at the crank.

Do what derek did and then do some weight saving mods. The weight saving mods will offset the extra 10-20 hp you need to get to 400 hp. However, if cams were easily available for these engines, that would certainly do it.

I would love the sound of a cammed v6 I've heard of the mace cams but I called a shop one time and they said it's not worth it that it would be about 5k and to just twin turbo it

100lbs = 10hp

I do not believe he is dropping that much weight. Iv taken off just shy of 300lbs and im going extreme. He needs an extra 80rwhp so 800lbs.

Yup, not possible.

If you have questions on the NA Side, let me know....as well as boost.

I should be around the 500rwhp mark when all is said and done, possibly even higher if we get these cams going with the HPFP lobe.

If the shop quoted you that much for a cam swap then they didn't want to do the job and just threw a large number out.
