Good point. He said he lost a piston, but didn't say how. Would a forged one have survived?

IIRC it went lean and popped.. being forged might have helped but no real way to say ya or nay ..

Yup. Went lean

We figured out the issue and should have that corrected this go around.

May forge it this winter. Not sure yet.

Definitely forge it. I think the next weak link will be the tranny which isn't going to like not just the power from the blower but the stresses of racing.

Trans isn't much of a worry for me anymore.

I plan on forging it as soon as I can. No need at the moment as I don't need to turn up the boost any more.

Is there any sort of air fuel monitor that can be wired to cut the motor if it goes too lean to prevent damage?

Has anyone contacted foreign tuners about the 85% issue? I'm sure there's lots of lfx engines in Australia maybe haltech or cobb or someone independent?

Is there a way to trick the TB sensor into thinking the RPM is > 3500 or trick the ecu into thinking the TB is 85% when its really 100%?

Might have to go stand alone ecu.

What do your shift points look like durning the run?

Round 2: Overkill 8 Rib Supercharger setup...installed. LOLA getting blown

I am shifting somewhere between 55 and 6300 usually. That way I am in the powerband. I can't afford to lose any time during shifts when I'm racing the V8s so I try to stay in it the whole time. Working very very well so far. As for the88% thing, I think it's hardcoded into the ECM.

Got her home, installed the ZL1 rockers.

Waiting on some new parts from Overkill and Jacfab, and some final tuning then its time to get the supercharger back on and get back to the track

I am a FIRM believer in taking care of your dealer/service manager.

If you take care of them, and are honest, they will take care of you.

Started putting Lola back together today. Got the crank pulley put on, and the inner plate.
