ZR1 TWIN DISC CLUTCH KIT or Mcloed RXT twin disc clutch

Hi guys,

I would like to ask if any of you guys had an experience of the ZR1 Twin disc clutch or the mcloed rxt clutch. my car has 472 rwhp now. Im thinking to upgrade the clutch because I'm already having a problem with my clutch. which one do you recommend more the ZR1 clutch or the mcloed rxt.

I'm going to supercharge the car or turbocharge it in 2 months, so I want to know which one of them going to work with that kind of power.

thank you for your help...

Welcome to the forum!

No experience with Mcloed RXT (never even heard of it to be honest), but I've had the ZR1 twin disc for almost a year now and I highly recommend it. But you have to get a new flywheel to use the ZR1 and it costs more than the clutch itself.

You might want to search this forum. There's probably at least 50 more threads just like this.

If my car was a M6 I would run the Mcleod RXT. Been ussing them for years and they are great. Installed a few ZR1 clutches.Feel nice but couldn't take the abuse that the RXT's can.

If you want OEM quality drivability go with the ZR1 clutch, you won't have to deal with any shuddering with low RPM slow starts.

I have a 625rwhp Camaro with the LPE ZR-1 Clutch and I ABSOLUTELY Love it.. No issues at all with the clutch. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Let us know how bad it shudders, hopefully it's drivable.

I would have gone with the ZR1 Twin disc personally... have it on my Z06 at 555wtq/600whp and no problems...
