Like someone else said, your mods make it your car and anyway I never owned a stock muscle car !

It also depends on how you use your car.
A 20k mile per year daily driver has different requirements than a weekend warrior.
I will easily put over 100k miles on the car, so any mods need to maintain reliability.

The first decision you have to make is this: Am I willing to pay for anything in the powertrain breaking if I tune the car?

If the answer is no, then limit your mods to stuff that won't void the warranty.

If the answer is yes, then mod away!

My C6 loped like a damn racecar and could cruise along at 1200rpm in 6th gear. I went a bit overboard on my C6 for a daily driver though. The ZL1 can get to low to mid 600's rwhp without doing a cam. You can hit high 600's to low 700's with a cam that will still drive like stock. I just wouldn't do a cam with over .630" lift on the stock rockers.
