RAMPS INFO FOR OIL CHANGE

So what do y'all use to get your Camaro up to change oil? And not a car lift. What do you have and how much?
Thanks

Well, I was using ramps, but I don't think that's happening anymore. I lowered my car more this week and I can't even get a low profile jack under it unless I drive onto some 2x4s first.

3-ton floor jack, low profile. Jack stands. All from Harbor Freight. I've used them a lot and they have been great.

I use Race Ramps 67” Long 10” High. They run about $350 but are well worth the money!

parking it angled will not drain totally.

Yup that's pretty ocd lol. No need to worry about a few ounces of old oil. I knew a guy once who would start the engine for a couple seconds after the oil was drained to make sure he got all the oil out.... the amount of life he took off his cars was way more than the little bit of old oil left in the engine lol.

My Z/28 has a pretty low snout so I use the ZL1 Addons Premium 3" Jack MagPad for lifting using the pinch weld location. About $41 ea or $131 for a set of 4. Place jack stands at sturdy sub-frame points and have at it.

p.s. the oil drain is to the passenger rear so oil drains fine
I only have to get the drivers side up high enough to get under the car with jack stands

I can't get any regular ramps to work even the ones I had for my 77vette won't work. My SLP is lowered 1" front and back. But I'm not taking it in for oil change for someone to take it out for a joy ride.
