Corvette site?

What's with all the Corvette updates on the home page? Obviously a bunch of shameless plugs for the new corvette site. One or two is fine, but wow. I assume you 5th gen Camaro owners want to see 5th gen news?

It is exciting news to see Chevy unveil the corvette because in a sense it may give us a preview of some option or ideas to expect in the 6th gen. I do not feel as if it is wrong to update camaro owners about corvettes. Many camaro owners own corvettes. If it was ford then it would be a different story.

That bothers you that much? It's not a plug for a new Corvette site... its Chevy news that many car enthusiast want to hear. When I had my vette and the 5th gen Camaro was coming out there was just as much or more news on its arrival over at the corvette forum.

Well...it's not like anything's really going on with the Camaro right now.

When there's new or exciting 5th gen news, Tran & the admins will promptly post...
The C7 bar none is the most exciting revolutionary release... hot as anything.
It's not shameless neither... if anything be proud and humble.

Bite your tongue!! We all know that the SS w 1LE and the LS7 is being mocked up as we speak. I think the only hold up is the Z/28 embossed rockers.

But there is no news of a LS7 powered 1LE to post on the homepage. When we have something, anything, it will get put up. But right as of right now, things are kinda slow in the Camaro world.

Not really. We saw a preliminary VIN guide that had the LS7 listed. Nobody's really sure the LS7 is going into the Camaro at all.

A lot of Corvette stuff ends up on the Camaro. We should learn as much as we can about the innovative new Corvette to see which direction the Camaro is going.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you. There is always something new going on in the Camaro world. The focus doesn't have to be just sitting around waiting to speculate on GM's latest announcements. More details on reader rides, new vendor products, custom DIY projects - these are the things that the site is suppossed to be about and can be focused on.

And I agree with the OP. These constant plugs for the 7th gen Corvette forum are very distasteful. It makes it seem like Camaro5 is just a Flavor of the month until a new crowd can be found to make money off of.

Yea, it's been flavor of the month every month for just the past 6 years
