Like comparing a tin can to a car. Keep a Hyundai for a few years and you will see a tin can.

Congrats! I just picked mine up yesterday, been a mustang fan for a long time now since it was my first car. Mustangs will always have a special place, but I have no problem saying my SS is freakin' awesome Name: photo.jpg

Could be the driver's style. I live on a 5000 ft. elev. mountain, and commute every day to the bottom on the mountain. When I drive hard, I can rub the tread off very quickly. In a Mitsubishi I had a few years ago, I took a set of Pirellis from new to baby- butt smooth in 4000 miles. That was with alignment and regular rotation. In my Camaro, I try to take it a little easier on the turns.... except that I make exceptions pretty regularly. If I get 15,000 miles out of a set, I am pretty happy. And, lest you think I am simply doing something wrong, (A) I've squeezed 100,000 miles out of OTHER tires when I lived in a non- mountainous area, and (B) 15,000 is pretty typical for any driver around here. Those turns on the winding mountain roads scrub a little tread off every time the steering wheel gets used.

OP, congrats! My purchase happened 25 months ago, and EVERY single day, I am giddy over the best purchase I ever made. Love the car like it's brand new, and each morning when I wake up, my thoughts go like this: "Oh, crap... gotta go to work... but wait: I get to drive that Camaro to work!" And from there, it's all good...
