There is ONE bucket o' water for all this, though...Wixom PBC is relocating to Bowling Green, where I doubt they'll continue LS7 production.
http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...-green-116045/ So, if an LS7'd ZEE is in the cards, Wixom better assemble a few pallet loads of LS7s while they can... |

True enough, but what % of GM crates are "dry" LS3-7-9s? They sell a ton of wet LS3s and LSAs, relatively, which are assembly line items (read: much less expensive, labor-wise) elsewhere...

Good points, but there also isn't an auto trans on the ZR1 Vette, yet the ZL1 has it and it's faster.

I think it would be awesome to have a 7L option in a 5th gen, Z28 or not. I just can't wrap my head around where it would fit on a cost basis. The additional power would surely require some upgraded goodies (brakes, driveline). Suspension would need to equal 1LE. The LS7 is not cheap and I could easily see this car being $50K + to start. Probably many would buy it as it would probably be lighter than the ZL1 which would make it a better choice on a road course.
