4l80e setup
And it begins. Looking at the options of swapping out the 6l80 for the 4l80. Who builds a strong 4l80 and has a good reputation looking for a company that stands behind their product looking to make 900 flywheel horsepower.

RPM Transmission top notch company and outstanding customer service. Their 4l swap package includes just about everything you need.

A built 6l80 can handle 900 fwhp no problem.

I know it can but I'm building my engine to run e85 the most fuel pump I can find is limited to 1000hp if I want to switch over to 110 and make 1200 fwhp I don't think it would hold.

Ah ha. Well, I can't argue with that. It be interesting to see if it could hold that but I wouldn't want to be the guniea pig!! Talk to RPM.

Rpm or Jakes performance....... I think Jake is a vendor here now. A lot of people use transformance here on Georgia including the fastest ls street car for numerous years. To me Jakes has a better price though when you look at the build sheet and parts he uses for 1200 Rwhp it's hard to beat and be has a proven track record. Most places will just throw some red clutches a billet input shaft and a good sprag in it and call it good I would want a little more than that for the money some of these shops charge.

Yes, I have come on as a sponsor and I have intended to do more posting to answer questions here but we've been busy at the shop.
We specialize in 4L80E's. I've designed a couple of transbrakes for them as well as some other specialty parts. We do have our own recipe for success at power levels up to 2000 HP for the 4L80E. RPM and Transformance are also great companies. even though they are competitors I wouldn't hesitate to send them a customer, particularly if you are local to them. |
