Road Atlanta sound level - quite time

Anyone know if the Camaro SS(1LE) is under the required sound restriction for Road Atlanta quite time on Sundays?

Where/what part of the track do they check the sound level?

Supposedly two places, one at the Black Flag station on the back straight, and the other by Turn1.

I will be out there next weekend with JTI, and I've just run a higher gear and/or short shifted to avoid it totally.

Turned out to be a nice (yet hot) weekend... How did you like the track? (I pulled my PDR info and was very happy with the tire/water/oil temps)

Love the track... it was a nice cool change for us, coming from Florida.

So, I'm guessing the sound levels were okay or did both of you take it easy near the sound check stations?

I put the exhaust in stealth mode, made sure I shifted ti 5th before the black flag station... still down shifted for corner 1.

No issues and I really think there would be no issues without any of that. Only street car I saw get black flagged was an extremely loud Mustang with after market exhaust.

That's good news. I didn't think our exhaust was all that loud. I know my G8 would be flagged for sure so I'll never take that car there. The 1LE is better, anyway.
