2013 ls stock radio issues! Goes on & off & has a pooping sound in speakers 🔊

I know this might be & old thread 🧵! But for the last month or so my stock radio has been going & off as of lately! With a popping sound in the speakers! It’s fine while driving! But when I’m parked it does it! Does anyone know of a solution? I saw a video where you can cut the lil white wire in the back & it should fix it! Thanks

Had similar issue w/a 96 Lincoln. Turned out to be factory amp in trunk going bad. Bypassed it and problem solved, but, stereo lost punch. Don't know if we have boosters or not.

Usually a sign that the HU is going to fail. When it does, you lose heating and A/C also. Time to start investigating aftermarket radios that have HVAC control options.
