Are they slowly killing the looks of the Camaro?

Are they slowly dismantling the Camaro piece by piece for the worse...

first they replaced the retro steering wheel with a parts bin wheel...
then the put the lock controls on the doors like every other chevy...
now they replace the wheels with ones that everyone seems to dislike...
then they added a parts bin Nav System.....

What happened to the really cool Retro Camaro that everyone drooled over at the auto shows and purchased when it came out?

What do you think?

There should be more distinguishable features inside and out.

I have to agree. I was peeking in the windows at the showroom the other day and really wasn't impressed by the 2012's. The only new addition I would like to have is the HUD.

LOL. In 2009 everyone was complaining because the interior looked too plasticky and retro. Now that GM fixed it, everyone is STILL complaining. GM just can't make anybody happy. lol.

The door locks on the ... door just makes sense. I never in a million years would reach for the radio to unlock a door.

Everyone has been wanting navigation since 2009, now they're putting it in.

I like the wheels.

I'd say GM is right on track. I agree with you on the corporate wheel, though.

I purchased my car Chrismas eve of '09 and it is number 48xxx... I have sometimes wondered if I should have waited longer to let them get the bugs worked out of a first year model car...I have also sometimes wondered if I should have waited a little longer until dealers had stock they needed to sell ( when I bought mine, there weren't alot of camaros in stock anywhere..).

But when I look at the newer steering wheel, radio, and wheels, I often tell myself that thank god I got a '10 brand new because it is truly my favorite year. I often think that maybe I am just trying to make myself feel justified for the previous statements, but no doubt I truly like my car better than the later models..

I wonder if they introduced these cars with more expensive parts to justify the "hype", and are now trying to water them down for the sake of the bottom line? Please realize that I mean no offense to later model owners, everthing I have stated is simply my OPINION and I am a big believer in "different strokes for different folks" , but if I had to choose, I will take my wheels, steering wheel, retro radio, chicklets, and GM performance badges over a '13 anyday.... Just sayin...

Only the new steering wheel seems like a step down to me.

I'd love to trade my 2012 LS for a 2013 and get MyLink.
