More comfortable IMO -considering the hoops GM is making people jumping through in order to buy the Recaro's after the fact, you might want to ask them if they want to trade seats Lol

Agreed. Told them that I'll be forming my own opinion on the comfort level of them. I know the ZL1 seats are much more comfortable than the seats that were in my SS.

From the Ashes: The Stig's Ashen Gray ZL1 [COTW 1/16/12]

Video of the 2014 DIC, can't figure out if they removed a few options from the DIC and just never updated the manual - or if I'm missing a couple screens.

Learned something new about my Z today when I was dropping my little sisters off at school:

They needed to get their backpacks out of the trunk, and what do you know the trunk wouldn't open (pressing the trunk release button on the door panel didn't do anything). It didn't even make the little clicky sound that you normally hear when you push the button. Ended up just turning the car off and using the button on the key fob to open it. My 2010 and 2011 had no problem doing this, so when I get to work I started flipping through the online PDF of the Owner's Manual that Chevy so kindly puts online for us (Here's the link if anyone didn't know about it: http://www.chevrolet.com/owners/chevy-manuals.html)

Well what do you know - the Owner's Manual doesn't say anything about why the trunk wouldn't open. After some quick searching I found out that it's a new safety feature:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258383

Apparently I need to have the parking brake engaged in order to open the trunk now - who knew. Lol.

Also learned that the MyLink software can be updated via a USB drive now - no need to go to the dealer (if you're able to get a copy of the software update anyway). So now I'm trying to find a copy of the software so I can see how easily it can be jailbroken.

Did some asking around (wanted to confirm I was supposed to have it) and apparently the new color HUD is missing the Shift Timing Light Position indicator (format four of the HUD display, see page 5-31 in the owner's manual --> link to the 2013 ZL1 Owner's Manual)

Rad brother.

Why didn't you just start another build thread though? Might be more fun. I was lost there for a couple pages before I realized it. LMAO

Killer ride and congrats again!

Yeah, mine doesn't have the shift timing light either. The only thing Ive found wrong with mine is that the windshield wiper fluid won't spray. I checked, it does have fluid.

Not going to lie - I tried my windshield wiper fluid when I got in the car.

But I did reach a mile marker with Z today! First tank of gas!

It doesn't show it when the gas light is on (the idiot light is new for 2014 too by the by) - but I only got 208 miles out of that first tank.

I would kill for anything remotely close to 200 miles per tank

Are you sure about the missing shift light? It only comes on at a certain rpm with the two row of dots starting from the outer edges and meet in the middle for the redline. What does mode 3 look like in color?

I'll snap some pictures of the modes before I head out for work.
