Factory Hurst Shifter
Does anyone have a factory or dealer installed GM/HURST shifter? I test drove one with it, and absolutely loved it.
The ss i bought this weekend did not have one but I negotiated into the price for them to order one from GM and install it. It will be a couple weeks and I am excited. Whats the word on the streets about these GM/HURST shifters? any issues with them? |

Be carefull that they are actually getting the - Factory Hurst, and not the aftermarket version.
If they are ordering it today, big red flag, it is not available as an accessory yet, at least to the best of my knowledge. Ask them to wait until the actual Factoy Hurst shifter is available as a GM accessory, and then you will get the right one. Might be a while. Which isn't really a biggie, I've been stirring the gears on my stock shifter for many miles. Congrats on the new SS. |

Yes, if you managed to order it. Please post the part number. Many of us 2010 people are waiting for it to be an accessory but can't.... til Nov 2010 I think.

If you can't wait I just installed the Barton Short Throw with the Pistol grip handle. It's FANTASTIC. definitely high quality kit.

The only one that can be ordered and installed at this time is the Hurst-Billet Plus shifter.

I've had my Hurst Billet-Plus in my 2SS for about 4k miles now, and I absolutely love it! I don't think you'd go wrong by getting one, but if GM is about to offer a factory option, it might well be worth the wait. And congrats on the new SS!!
